Audrey Golightly (15/38)

I found this template-tag on the street on the Boulevard St. Germain as I was putting out a cigarette. Why would anyone bother to do such a thing? I think this question is honestly mysterious, but at the same time, it struck me that the figure of Holly Golightly could be placed nowhere more appropriate than the street of the Boulevard St. Germain. And then I wondered what Audrey Hepburn would think of it, how she felt about the way her image has been made use of. People seem to me to be constantly missing the point of characters like Holly Golightly, particularly when they appropriate their image to sell something. So I appropriated this one into my photographic frame as a joke - perhaps that is what Miss Golightly would have preferred, if not what Miss Hepburn would have.
