The “me” tag, quadruple underlined, in the upper center of this photograph is what I consider to be the paradigmatic graffiti message - “I was here, it was difficult to leave this mark, why would I have bothered?” The institutional façade and grey sky are the perfect backdrop for this message; they set precisely the right tone. The perspective of this shot is also interesting, compelling the roof to cut at precisely a 30 degreee angle from top left to middle right, so as to maintain a perfect verticle alignment along the left edge of the frame.
